The solution is targeted to the corporate enterprise and government markets to control entry and exit of secure areas at these facilities. The new 3D reader will be demonstrated at stand #4062 at IFSEC 2008 from 12-15 May in NEC Birmingham, UK.

The next generation VisionAccess 3D face reader’s improved features address market requirements for ease of install and use and are expected to help increase the adoption of advanced biometrics for secure access. The reader features the most advanced 3D Face processing capabilities on the market with abilities to authenticate users in under a second for hands-free, secure access. The reader leverages an embedded platform which makes the unit very easy to install, significantly reducing installation time and resources. In addition, there are many other new features including the ability to store up to 60,000 face templates for large facility deployments and is Ethernet-ready for easy network connectivity.

Bioscrypt’s VisionAccess 3D face reader combines convenience with security, making it possible to secure valuable equipment and files without impeding access for authorized employees. The system uses the entire facial surface structure of a person’s face — a feature that is unique to each person and cannot be lost or stolen in order to verify a person’s identity. The VisionAccess 3D face reader can also be used in conjunction with proximity cards, smart cards and tokens for multi-factor authentication.

The world’s largest casino, the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel uses VisionAccess 3D Face Readers to authenticate 12,000 employees and Bioscrypt’s V-Smart fingerprint readers to control access to restricted areas. The Venetian Macao is the largest building in Asia and the second largest in the world. It has a stadium that seats 15,000,350 retail shops and 3,000 rooms.

The next generation VisionAccess 3D face reader is expected to be available through the Company’s certified partners in the third quarter of 2008.
